Mobi V-15 portable bike washer review.

Today I am having a look at a rather trick portable washer.....The Mobi V-15.

Considering its size, it certainly packs enough punch to clean off a very dirty bike after a run in the forest!

The Mobi has a variable pressure output from 45.5psi to 130.5psi, the highest for any portable washer on the UK market, which is perfect for washing bikes or showering your dog after a walk! The sort of pressure it gives out is equivalent to that of a hose pipe and jet nozzle.

It's sturdy and well constructed water vat holds 15 litres of clean water, which is enough to wash my car or two bikes with some left in the tank.

Although it is powered via the 12v socket (meaning most cars will need to be running while this washer is in operation), it's not much of a hindrance as at least your car will supply a steady stream of water when you need it. You can of course buy the more expensive model, the Mobi V-17 , which holds more water and has a rechargeable battery in it, but I found it fine for my every day needs.

It never gives too much pressure so as to damage frame bearings or blast paint work, it's just the perfect setting as it is!

The hose they supply is huge....16ft in total, which is plenty long enough. There is a shower head, a jet nozzle, and a brush head all supplied with it too.

I have heard some reports of leaks, but I have been fine with mine (touch wood!) so far.

Ultimately they come with a 12month warranty anyway, so IF it does give up the ghost I will be ringing up and asking for help!

At the moment you can grab these from Chain reaction Cycles. Coming in at a very healthy £69.99 it is a great workstation gadget to have.
