GT sensor AL expert 2016 mountain bike review.

Today I am taking a quick look at the VERY nice GT sensor AL expert mountain bike. It is a well balanced, well priced and well made XC rig, capable of killing most trail centre rides.

I did my test ride on Cannock Chase as I know there is a multitude of different trail styles there to put it through it's paces, and it held up brilliantly!

The first thing that stands out is the colour scheme....this was almost a baby blue, but, it stood out from the crowd and looked special. Other riders commented on how sexy it looked, and how GT have excelled themselves over the years.

The rear shock was the first thing I noticed when I started to pedal....The fox CTD  felt smooth and progressive, with no harsh rebound or bobbing thanks to it's 3 stage adjustment. Dialing a bit of extra rebound made the bike feel more planted on root sections, then using the lock out to climb made it all the more fun to work my legs up the hills.

Up front the Rockshox Revelation forks made sure that the front wheel was planted on the descent and helped swallow up the loose gravel beneath me, giving me a confident riding position on the bike thanks to it's 130mm of travel.

The 27.5" wheels and tyres give the bike a nice stance too, as the front of the bike is pushed back giving that low slung look, that tells you it's ready to eat up the dirt from under it.

The braking system was a pretty standard deore set up, which is on a lot of factory bike these days, and although they performed well enough, I felt they wasn't enough for the bike.....maybe some XT brakes wouldn't have gone a miss GT!!!

With the lightness of the frame combined with the top level components, this bike is a great machine to ride and have fun on, but if you want to burn calories and tone up , this bike can help you achieve your goals as it's perfectly designed to assist your riding technique.
